About Me

a bit about me

My name is Garcia Lopez-Paul.

I am a full-stack software engineer, with years of experience and training. I have years of Machine Learning and AI research under my belt, everything from real-time visual ASL translation to novel computational biology tools. You can read about some of these on this site.

I have been all-in on the tech world since high school. Dr. Morgan, if you are reading this, this is your fault. Since then I have honed skills, learned a lot, and then learned some more. Lately, my focus has been primarily on Machine Learning innovation, and the billion ways that can intersect with human life.

Princeton University class of 2023, with degrees in Computer Science, Neuroscience, Statistics and Machine Learning, and Film. For transparency, we couldn't double major, so the rest are "certificates" which is the next best thing.

I have worked in cutting edge research labs, fast moving innovative startups, and also some of the largest tech companies in the world. I've led projects and teams, I've been a founding engineer, completed projects independently, and delivered products both customer-focused to millions of users, and internal focused to make the lives of my teammates easier.

Other than all that, I have a passion for film and TV. I was a film student in school, and through that I have had the opportunity to make a few short films. Nothing professional, but maybe one day.

You can find a few of them on this site.

I've also been known to write, to code for fun, to dabble in pottery. I love to cook, almost as much as I love to eat. I host gatherings and dinner parties for my friends, which might be my true passion.

I am a social person, I love connecting people, organizing events and projects, and making things happen. You should come to one of my parties.

That's a bit about me. I may update this as I learn more about myself. I might not.
